Boxoffice perfomance of Kollywood films released till june30 in year 2023

Excellent 1st half for Kollywood in 2023.
January started with a bang by both top stars Thalapathy Vijay & Ajith kumar with their respective films Varisu & Thunivu - with emerging as SuperHIT at box office.

Febraury started with a suprise from small budget film Dada starring Kavin & followed by billingual success of Vaathi (Sir in telugu states was more succesful than tamil version).

March then had one more suprise small film hit - Ayothi & followed by month end release Viduthalai part1 which emerged as a blockbuster. Pathuthala which released with huge expectations fell short of succcess mark and ended up as average.

April had slow start but Ponniyin selvan 2 was big sucess at box office but couldnt cross the Industry HIT PS1 collection.

May had two more succesful films Good Night & Pichaikkaran 2.

June started with bang by unexpected suprise HIT Por Thozhil which emerged as Blockbuster & still running. June end release Maamannan had a grand opening & is moving towards blockbuster status.

Even though there are signiificant flop count which is common for any industry, 2023 1st 6 months can be considered as Excellent because of profits made & is tagged as the most succesful movie industry in India so far in 2023.
